OK …….. I’m A Little Rusty In The Arts And Crafts Department!

HAYYYYY!!  OK …….. I know what you are thinking!  How can I obtain the masterpiece of art that I see in the picture above me?  I know the suspense will drive you crazy dear readers!  So, to be nice, please note that the above "object de art," is a one of a kind, piece of hot mess, that I hope does not destroy my chances of meeting Miss Ross.

Long story short, the Duluth Art Gallery is hosting an auction to bring over a group of French violin players.  To support the auction, the gallery has sold wooden violin "cut outs," which they have asked people to decorate and put up for auction [cause you know, one of the "Atlanta Housewives," probably NeNe, will pay top dollar for my "Visions of Diana"].

A few weeks ago, the Divas of Hackberry Court and myself went by the art gallery, and before I knew it, we were buying these cut outs.  Of course Miss Gina, Miss Cindy and Miss Diana's violins [which everyone wants to call fiddles] turned out INCREDIBLE, while mine looked like something that states, "a 5th grader could have done a far better job."

Oh well, it is all in the "homage" to Miss Ross, with love from Call Him Miss Ross!

OK …….. So Sue Me, I Love The Trashy!

Posted by Miss Ross | OK ........ Favorite Musical Artists | Wednesday 19 August 2009 11:52 pm

HAYYYYY!!  OK …….. So sue me, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA!!  I never really watched Bravo's other "Housewives" of Orange County, New York and New Jersey, but you give me 4 dueling black divas set in my hometown .. grab me a recliner baby!

My favorite housewife is NeNe!  Love the attitude and love how she tries to run out of a restaurant in 5 inch heels.  My other fave is newcomer, Kandi, former singer from Xscape.  I mean Miss Kandi actually has a songwriting Grammy!

I know that many regard this as trash tv, or at best, a guilty pleasure, but PEOPLE, it is entertainment.  So when do I get to run into one of these lovely ladies?

Attention Hackberry girls!  I think we should start our own version of the "Housewives" .. The Divas of Hackberry Court!

In other news, I am going through a major Mariah Carey phase.  I think this due to a recent podcast from Jonny McGovern which highlighted the upcoming releases from Whitney, Mariah and Madonna.  But for whatever reason, I have only been listening to mucho Miss Mariah lately.

My Current Top 9 Favorite Mariah Songs:

1.  Last Night A DJ Saved My Life [Glitter Soundtrack]

2.  Honey – Classic Mix [The Remixes]

3.  Emotions [The #1s]

4.  One Sweet Day [The #1s]

5.  It's Like That [Emancipation Of Mimi]

6.  Heartbreaker Featuring Jay Z [Rainbow] "She loves everything Jay say Jay does!"

7.  Touch My Body [E=MC2]

8.  Make It Happen [Emotions]

9.  When You Believe Featuring Whitney [The #1s]

OK …….. Apparently Only I Thought This Was HILL-ARIOUS!

Posted by Miss Ross | OK ........ My Opinion .. And I Have One! | Monday 17 August 2009 11:54 pm

HAYYYYY!!  OK …….. As you may or may not have heard, former Republican House Majority Leader, Tom DeLay, has been chosen as a contestant for the next round of DANCING WITH THE STARS!  I actually did not believe this was true the first time I read the internet headline.  BUT, sure enough, Tom will be going up against Aaron Carter, Donny Osmond, and Kelly Osborne.

I have to offer my congratulations to both ABC on their way of mixing strange company, and DeLay's PR staff for being inventive.  BUT PEOPLE!!  Tom Delay??

This the same man who was expelled from Baylor University, fought hard to obtain the number of needed votes in order to impeach Clinton, AND STILL BECAME the first congressional leader ever to be indicted.  At one time, DeLay was one of the most powerful men in Washington.

And now he is on Dancing With The Stars!  I think this is HILL-ARIOUS!!  What ABC ?? Sarah was too busy?  There is always Levi!

Sooooooo, since I was incredibly amused by this entertainment tidbit, you know I had to share it with the world.  Most friends and neighbors had no idea who Tom DeLay was!  PEOPLE!!  He only stepped down in 2006!  No wonder the poor man is desperate for some attention!

Who Will Answer My Questions To The WATCHMEN??

Posted by Miss Ross | OK ........ I Just Have A Few Questions, Uncategorized | Sunday 16 August 2009 1:37 am

HAYYYYY!!  OK …….. I just finished "watching" THE WATCHMEN.  Some interesting concepts, somewhat of a downer, and a few questions and comments come to mind:

**However, please note that I have only seen this film once, and never read the graphic novel.**

1.  Why did the "masks" / vigilantes suddenly fall out of favor?  They obviously survived the McCarthy era.  Why did they have to retire?

2.  When I read the wiki article on WATCHMEN, Dr. Manhattan was supposed to be only true hero with "powers."  However, why was Ozymandias able to move so fast?  Was this due to his incredible brain?  Since I have brought up Ozymandias, could the producers have picked a more wooden actor than Matthew Goode?  He was just boring to watch, and his never ending speeches ……..!

3.  Am I the only one who though Silk Spectre's outfit was just stupid?  What was the point of this character?  Ok, her mother was the first Silk Spectre, and she is connected to the Comedian .. but what is her purpose?  And what does Silk Spectre mean anyway?

4.  In the "alternate universe, " they have had "masks" for 40+ years, and there are no black, hispanic or asian heroes?  Where are the sidekicks?  There has to be some type of Owlgirl, who became a crimefighter due to her crush on Nite Owl.

5.  Now I did like me some Nite Owl!  I liked "Archie,"  I liked the suit and REALLY liked me some Patrick Wilson!  DAMN!!  I have to start paying more attention to Mr. Wilson.  BUT, BUT, BUT, am I the only one who thought Nite Owl's fur lined cape was just a little too precious?

A HUGE Happy Birthday to my friend Reed, who just happens to share his birthday with MADONNA!

OK …….. Shout Out For A Comic Genius: Kathy Griffin!

Posted by Miss Ross | OK ........ Shout Out Time! | Monday 10 August 2009 10:26 pm

HAYYYYY!!  OK …….. If you have read more than a few entries on my blog, you know I LOVE ME SOME Kathy Griffin!  The woman is incredibly talented and will not back down for anyone!  LOVE HER!  Anyway, in case you have not heard, guess who was Kathy's guest at the Teen Choice Awards??  None other than Bristol Palin's baby daddy, and "she's not a quitter" Sarah Palin's continual nightmare ….. LEVI JOHNSTON!!

Now dear readers [of the 2 or 3 that are out there], did I not mention that Levi is doing his best to extend those 15 minutes of fame?  His pairing with Kathy is just one more step toward his own reality show!

And as for Kathy .. PURE GENIUS to show up with a guy who is 19 years younger, and from a family that she tears apart on Larry King Live!

In other news, and this may only be important to me, but has anybody realized how many big music DIVAS have new recordings that come out in September?  Whitney Houston [from what I've heard sounds damn good], Mariah [you're on fire!], Streisand [going the standards / jazz route], Madonna [releasing her big greatest hits package, before jumping to Live Nation] and Colton Ford .. ok I added that one, but one look at that body and DAMNNNNNNNN!

OK …….. I Have NO IDEA How This Happened!

Posted by Miss Ross | Uncategorized | Sunday 9 August 2009 12:09 pm

HAYYYYY!!  OK …….. Been gone for a couple of days due to a certification class!  But I'm back and the blog is moving along!

And speaking of moving along, guess what found it's way into my carport yesterday??  A 2009 black Volkswagen Beetle!!  Seriously, I was only going to run some errands yesterday, when, WHAMMO, before I knew it, I was trading in my Ford for the Beetle!

Now everybody can be assured that Mr. Roscoe will be styling when he goes for a "RIDE" to the dog park!  And since most things in my life have some connection to Lady Ross, I have decided to call it the "DIANA-BUG," Herbie's black cousin!

Before I go, I want to send a HUGE BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUT to my Hackberry girl, GINA!!  Peggy, Cindy and myself took Gina out for her birthday on Friday, and had a blast!  We walked around Downtown Duluth, picked up an art project, had dessert and met some of the store owners.  OK, Hackberry girls, we have to make this a regular happening!

OK …….. I’m Just Full Of Questions Today Barbie!

Posted by Miss Ross | OK ........ I Just Have A Few Questions, Uncategorized | Monday 3 August 2009 12:02 am

HAYYYYY!!  OK …….. I'm just full of questions today Barbie!  Do you have the answers?

1.  I read an article here, I read an article there.  I listen to this commentator and check out that blog.  And still, I can not understand the health plan that Obama is trying to create.  This plan will be an option, but in the end, will ultimately hurt those whom the insurance companies do not want in the first place?  All I know is that my premiums seem to be increasing every six months!  Why Barbie?  And while you are answering that question, can you explain this new health plan in 4 or 5 sentences? Remember that I'm not dumb [after all, I did see The Da Vinci Code], but need a little help.

2.  I finally saw Kathy Griffin's recent episode of MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST, the one where she protests Proposition 8 in California.  Kathy's outspoken stand re-confirmed my feelings of why she is such a talent and DIVA!  Love her!  But I was amazed at the young people she interviewed, who had little to no idea who Matthew Shepard was, let alone events like Stonewall.  Matthew was killed less than 11 years ago, and these kids had no clue.  Oh Barbie, what is going on with these youngsters, 29 and younger, who have no sense of history, style, or understanding why Nellie Olsen was such an important character on tv?

And Barbie, before you act like you are above such a question, NEWSFLASH FROM THE PLANET OF DUH, fewer and fewer little girls are playing with you nowdays.  Your current lifestyle and that dream home will depend on the loyalty of gay men!

3.  Oh Barbie, Empress of Style .. who told the world that it was ok for the return of 80's fashion?  When I was at the mall last week, I walked past store window upon store window with mannequins wearing LEGGINGS!  What is next?  White sequined gloves [oops. already seen those] and headbands!  The only good thing to come out of the 80's was Madonna and Miss Ross' EATEN ALIVE, SWEPT AWAY AND WORKIN' OVERTIME albums, leave the rest to history.

4.  And before I go Barbie .. Who do you think would win in a cage match? Mariah or Eminem?  Will Michael Jackson's autopsy results ever be revealed?  And finally, why is there some type of cable cord across my front yard?  And I don't even have cable!
